| It doesn't matter who you are or where you
live, you can make a difference when it comes to taking care of our
environment. Keep Union County Beautiful has several programs in place. We offer something for everyone, including both children and adults. KUCB's programs give everyone in the community the opportunity to participate in Litter Prevention, Waste Reduction, Recycling, Community Beautification projects, and much more. KUCB is very proud of our Adopt-A-Road program. We have several miles of roadway in Union County that have been adopted by individuals, small groups, and organizations who have committed their time and efforts to clean up specific areas regularly.

LITTER EDUCATION What Is Litter? Why Do People Litter? Where Does Litter Go?
|
KUCB is proud to play an active role in educating our
community's children about the importance of the cleanliness of our
environment. Each year, KUCB spearheads various programs through
participation of the schools in Union County. One such program takes
place each year in observance of Earth Day.
Many people participate in recycling. Common recyclable items include plastic, newspaper, glass, cardboard, and a great deal more. For an extensive listing of items that can be recycled, take a look at The Consumer Recycling Guide. You may be surprised at some of the items you will find listed. Currently, there are six Union County Convenience Centers. A variety of items can be recycled at those locations. You may view according to center location, or by a list of recyclable items. If your business participates in recycling of any product, please contact the site administrator to have your information posted on the page.
